Korg | Scars of Silvos PDF
A downloadable game
You never know when you'll be stuck somewhere with some time to burn and the itch to roll some dice.
Korg | Scars of Silvos is a solo adventure game that fits in a zine. You are an adventurer tasked with completing quests which you must gear up for if you want to survive. There are settlements for you to buy gear and rest, dangerous regions to traverse, and dark dungeons to delve.
I love TTRPGs but I've found I'm often too busy to invest a few hours into bulkier games. To satiate my addiction for adventure and dice, I’ve created a rules light system that allows for quick pick up and go playing so you can fit the game into any schedule.
Besides the game you will need a D6, pencil, and paper. Digital dice and a simple note keeping app can easily replace the more traditional tools if you prefer.
You begin your tale in one of the settlements that surround Merrow Bay. There you may acquire a quest to undertake, and purchase equipment to aid in your efforts.
You then will traverse the wilderness defeating or avoiding threats until you are at the dungeon your quest has led you. Each foul place is filled with thematic threats and traps which seek to end your life so tread carefully. After completing the quest you are granted a reward for your troubles, but don't rest on your laurels for there are still troubles to solve.

Aesthetically, it's a real work of art and looks absolutely gorgeous. The basic concept of playing on three different "planes" (city/settlement, wilderness, dungeon) with the possibility to travel between places by ship is excellent and works well and gives the game a nice flow. I'd like a bit more complexity however as very much depends on die throws alone. Some simple stats to give me an impression of the characer I play, maybe in the direction of Fabled Lands (the gamebooks), would add to the immersion for me without complicate things too much. Anyway - I'm happy to own this lovely book and I don't regret having backed it with the extras.
